| May 1, 2005 - Fine Warm Weather |
|
With the fine warm weather we had in Feburary and March we were expecting an earlier season than last year for this years strawberry harvest. But with the first three weeks of April raining almost continuously and cooling things down we have had to push our projection back a little.
Last year we started picking strawberries on the 24th of May and we suspect it might be about the same time again this year. Raspberries should follow about the first week in July and blueberries a couple of weeks after that. Who knows though ?
Trying predict the harvest date at this point is like trying to predict what the weather will be like a month from now. Please check in for more specific information in mid May.
